CEU condemns recent unfounded attacks against Gender Studies programs in Hungary. Gender Studies is an internationally recognized academic field, which produces intellectually and socially relevant knowledge and which has been taught at our university for well over a decade. Our graduates are exceptionally successful at finding employment in the international job market. Eliminating the program would be a loss to the Hungarian scholarly community and would further limit academic freedom in the country. CEU is committed to continuing teaching its Gender Studies programs.
