Anja Koletnik

Anja Koletnik is a transfeminist queer activist and freelance academic from Slovenia. They have 8 years of experience in LGBTQ+ activism and are the founder and director of Slovenia's first transgender specific NGO Institute Transfeminist Iniciative TransAkcija. Prior to studying at Central European University they graduated from Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana. Anja has been active as a volunteer within the NGO sector since 2000, working in the fields of youth work, domestic and gender based violence, mental health and substance abuse. Anja holds an MA in Gender Studies from Central European University where they graduated in 2014.

Beata Hock

Beata Hock has an interdisciplinary educational and research background. She studied Comparative Literature and Art Theory at Eötvös Lóránd University Budapest. Extending her study of art and cultural history with a focus on gender, Beata completed her doctorate in Comparative Gender Studies at the Central European University, Budapest in 2009. She is currently Research Associate at the Leipzig Centre for the History and Culture of East Central Europe, contributing to the work of the research cluster "Transnationalisation and cultural identities" with two projects: Inscribing Eastern Europe into a socialist world through art and Art-Artist-Politics: Icons in shifting relationship. Beata lectured at the Central European University, the University of Fine Arts, both in Budapest; and the University of Leipzig. In 2015/16 she is Marie-Louise Motesiczky Visiting Professor at The Courtauld Institute of Art/University of London. Her areas of research and teaching include art history, feminist cultural theory, and the cultural dimensions of the global Cold War.

Sanja Kajinic

Sanja Kajinic received her PhD from the Gender Studies Department of Central European University in Budapest, Hungary in 2014. Her research interests focus on feminist approaches to visual culture, social movement theory, and analysis of intersections of culture and politics.

Edita Miftari

Edita Miftari (1989), from Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Clark University. She received her Bachelor's degree in Security Studies from Sarajevo University and M.A. in Gender Studies from Central European University in Budapest in 2014. Her research focuses on women's political participation, inclusive peace and security processes, and her work is closely related to Sarajevo Open Center, an NGO that has contributed to significant positive changes in the area of women's and LGBT human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Edita is a member of Women's Network of BiH, Women's Initiative for Constitutional Reforms, Women in Business Network and Peace Building Network, and has been awarded with numerous academic and professional scholarships, including fellowships of the Central European University (2013), School of Political Studies of the Council of Europe (2013), German Marshall Fund of the United States (2014), Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom and the Queen Mary University of London (2015) and the U.S. Department of State's Fulbright fellowship (2015). In 2015, Edita has co-authored a book on women's political history in post-conflict Bosnia and Herzegovina.
