There are four MA programs in Gender Studies at CEU: the one-year MA and two-year MA programs taught fully at CEU, and GEMMA (Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies) and MATILDA (Women's and Gender History), two-year programs that include mobility to universities in other parts of Europe.
Successful applicants to all programs must meet the general CEU admissions requirements (outlined on the main CEU website). As for the Academic Writing Submission, they have to submit a 500-word essay on the relevance of their academic/professional background to study at CEU and to their future career goals.

Deadline for applicants to master’s programs who wish to be considered for CEU financial aid.
All applications must be complete with relevant standard test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, etc.).

Final application deadline for self-financing Master’s applicants who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA area and require a study visa.

AUGUST 15, 2023 (23:59, CENTRAL EUROPEAN TIME)
Final application deadline for self-financing master’s applicants from EU/EEA countries (or who hold a valid permanent residence permit in an EU/EEA country).
All applications must be complete with applicable standard test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, etc.).
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis (subject to spaces available).

DEADLINES GEMMA
The call for applications for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (Partner country studients) for the next edition of GEMMA (17th edition, 2023-2025) is now OPEN and it will remain available until January, 13th, 2023.
There will be a second call for self-funded students that will open on March 15th, 2023 and it will be open until April 14th, 2023.
