Call for Applications: Junior Visiting Researcher and Postdoctoral Fellows

The Department of History at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for a Junior Visiting Researcher (PhD student) and two Postdoctoral Fellow positions. The successful candidates will work on the ERC Advanced Grant-funded ZARAH project co-hosted by the Department of History and the Department of Gender Studies at CEU.The ZARAH project will last for five years, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commit to a three-year period. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal for another two years.

After awarding over 200 Erasmus Mundus scholarships and graduating over 800 students, the time had come to celebrate GEMMA's 10th anniversary. Sharing and disseminating our knowledges in Women's Studies and Gender now seems to be more necessary than ever. It is, indeed, an act of responsibility in order to fight increasing inequalities and injustice at global level.

A new book by Dr. Sarah Smith: Gendering Peace: UN Peacebuilding in Timor-Leste

Dr. Sarah Smith, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender Studies, has just published her book Gendering Peace: UN Peacebuilding in Timor-Leste, in the Routledge series ‘Studies in Gender and Global Politics’. Drawing on policy documents and field research in Timor-Leste with national organizations, international agencies and UN staff, the book examines gender policy with a feminist lens.
