Mátyás Erdélyi is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the project ZARAH : Women’s labour activism in Eastern Europe and transnationally, from the age of empires to the late 20th century (ERC Advanced Grant). Erdélyi specializes in the history of the Habsburg Monarchy in the long nineteenth century, and in particular has worked and published on the history of private clerks in banking and insurance (PhD in 2019 at Central European University in Budapest), on the history of statistical thinking, public administration, professional education in trade and management, and educational mobility in the late Habsburg Monarchy.
