I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of International Relations and a Visiting Professor at the Department of Gender Studies at CEU. As a political scientist by training my research explores the intersections of gender, political economy, violence, and environmental justice through both empirical research and a critical lens. Drawing on feminist theories of violence and justice, international political economy, political ecology, and post- and decolonial approaches, my work spans several areas: These include extractivist economies, sexual violence, and environmental degradation in and beyond conflict; EU border security and constructions of risk and crisis; and the climate crisis, renewable energy transitions, and environmental justice. Throughout my work, I am committed to unpacking intersectional power relations and contributing to decolonial struggles for justice. I am the PI of the FWF project "Risky Borders", and of the OEAW project "Climates of Peace".
