Andrea, Senior Lecturer at CAW and Visiting Lecturer at the Gender Studies Department, has taught Academic and Thesis Writing to MA students in a number of departments (Economics, Environmental Sciences and Policy, Gender Studies, History, Legal Studies, Medieval Studies, Nationalism, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology and Social Anthropology) and Advanced Academic Writing to PhD students in Environmental Sciences and Policy and Gender Studies. She was involved in creating courses for the new BA programs, and has also taught in CPS. Since she joined the Writing Center in 2004, Andrea has been involved in various outreach projects, delivering research writing workshops for the Max Planck Institute in Freiburg and Halle, the European University in St. Petersburg and and to the CARTI fellows of OSF in both Hungary and Turkey. She has also provided Academic Writing Mentoring for established researchers of the IWM in Vienna since 2020.
Andrea holds an MA in English and German Language, Literature and Teaching and a PhD in Postmodern English Literature and Culture from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her work has appeared in the Neo-Victorian Studies Journal, European Journal of English Studies, The AnaChronist and Holmi. She has also contributed book chapters to publications by Studies in Anglophone Literatures and Cambridge Scholars Publishing in the field of Neo-Victorian Studies. Andrea's monograph "Rewriting the Victorians: Modes of Literary Engagement with the 19th Century" was published in 2013 and won the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE) Book Award for first books in Literatures in the English Language in 2014.
