As a Junior Visiting Researcher within the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network project "EUTERPE: European Literatures and Gender from a Transnational Perspective," Samriddhi aims to capture the complex interplay of multiple theoretical perspectives on transnational women’s life writing produced in the territory of what Chris Rumford has called “the strangeness of Europe.” Bringing theoretical and conceptual gender analyses in dialogue with the transnational turn in literary theory, their research aims to build a critical framework to read autobiographical acts located at the contact zones of cultural encounters where different geo-cultural imaginaries and discourses interact, intersect, and conflict with each other.

Their academic interests span literary-historical analysis, posthumanism, and postcolonial/decolonial theory. A recipient of a graduate teaching and research fellowship during their master’s, Samriddhi has taught courses on academic writing and literary cultures of Enlightenment and Romanticism. They bring valuable experience from their roles in the editorial teams of academic publishing firms such as Palgrave Macmillan and Elsevier.
