Susan Visvanathan is a fiction writer from India. She has written five novellas, of which "Something Barely Remembered" was short listed for the Commonwealth prize and the Crossword award. It is taught in 200 colleges affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India. Susan was listed as one of the eight writers "Rewriting India" (OUP, 2015) by Bruce king. As the recipient of the professional excellence award, she will be speaking about writing literary fiction as an aspect of documentation.
