Department of Gender Studies is proud to announce that Dominika Gruziel, PhD Alumni at CEU, has won a 2 year postdoc at the European University Institute from September 2016 to August 2018!
Dominika Gruziel holds a PhD degree from the Department of Gender Studies, CEU (2012). Her doctoral dissertation examined the mobilization and agenda of Polish Roman Catholic female laity in Partitioned Poland during the transnational culture wars between 1878 and 1914. After obtaining her doctoral degree she acted as a visiting faculty at the Gender Studies Department in Central European University as well as was involved in several comparative research projects in the area of social policies and gender equality in non-profit and profit oriented entities (e.g. CEU Center for Policy Studies, the Budapest Institute). Her current research interests include modern history, social history, history of gender and women’s movements, religious studies, and the histories and theories of social movements mobilization.
